Ground Glass Opacities: lungs are hazy but through which you can see lung structures. Compared to consolidation, where you can't see any lung structures. DDx for GGOs: Fluid, inflammation - infection (Pneumonia) or noninfectious (ILD)

Idiopathic Pneumonia Syndrome seen after BEAM consolidation chemo prior to stem cell transplant. Inc reased risk with higher doses of BCNU (Carmustine) or prior mediastinal radiation. Treatment is supportive + Steroids.
