Amyloid patients have higher mortality with higher doses of nodal blocking agents. They need their HR to maintain their CO. Calcium channel blockers, such as Diltiazem, are particularly bad for these patients.

PYP study: Technology was previously used for bone scans. Becoming diagnostic test of choice for cardiac amyloid. Able to distinguish between AL and TTR-amyloid. 100% specific for TTR-amyloid
